Finally "home" in A town

So, it's taken much, much longer to adjust, unpack, get settled than we ever imagined. Most of it was the Simon being mobile thing. There is no perfect decision, we still miss Seattle, a lot. It is nice to be home as well. I've had a few delicious margaritas (thank you Gueros, Maudies and Chuys), lots of Tex Mex, some time with family and friends. No live music yet, will have to get some in very soon. Today it finally hit 90...just bizarre for late summer in Tejas.

This is the special picture for all the girlfriends when Simon is in high school.

Simon's got 5 teeth now, with another coming in on top. He is still spending lots of time with dad during the days, but also is with Mimi twice a week and his summer 'nanny', Kathryn, two other days. Work is wonderfully flexible so I get to see Simon on afternoons when he is with Kathryn. Wherever he goes, he always seems to adjust well and keep that constant smile on his face. It's contagious.

Here's a reason to be back home: celebrating family birthdays. Happy Birthday Grandpa David & Aunt Andi!!

This just makes me laugh, he is such a character!
