week 23 - Otter Falls - Sarah's B-Day Hike

Sunday we hiked 7 miles round trip to Otter Falls, an out of the way hike after a long and rutted road. Not much incline or elevation but at the height we just hit the snow line. We went out for Sarah's B-Day and it was a perfect day weather- wise. Simon was a trooper. Slept and behaved wonderfully the whole way. He really dug the waterfalls and the sound it made rushing over the rocks. Couldn't keep his eyes off of them when we stopped for lunch on the trail. After 3.5 miles you get to a cairn in the trail and hike upward 200 feet over a ridge on an unmarked trail. Great view, beautiful lake, 700 foot waterfall that rushed down the rocks in to a lake below. Nice. Long day then burgers and wine. Ahh - gonna miss you Pacific Northwest!
My wife looking beautiful and my son looking fly (for a white boy).

"You want me to sit in this thing and stare at the back of your head for how long?"

Almost ready for solid food. Loves Apples.

The falls - the lake.

The Bankses. Gotta love em, Simon does.
