Week 39--come out already!

We're ready. Soooo very ready. I don't think I can really complain much, I still feel pretty good. I will be happy though to be heading to the hospital and meet this person who's been moving around all the time, making it hard to get in/out of bed or fit into too much, having to pee every 15 minutes...Saturday is D-Day. Simon's in the right spot, last week my belly was measuring 38 centimeters, looks like more in this picture though. Evil people have been saying I'm going to be two weeks late, I'll show them. Everyone send all your good karma and thoughts our way!

Last Shower @ Bret & Devon's

We didn't get a lot of great pictures at this last fiesta, but you can tell we had a great time. All the godfathers (Bret, Devon, Rich, Chad, Scot, Kevin, Ray, John) are anxious to meet Simon (as are we!)

Shower #4: The Banks & Kully/Rivera Host

A few pics from the shower at Chris & Sarah's. That's Sarah with Elena, Dan & Martiza's little girl who just turned 1. Jason also made his famous Dobostort (14 layer cake) for the afternoon. Yummy!

Week 37

Hmm, is my face really this puffy? Everyone at work says I've definately "dropped." I guess I see a change, I do have a bit more room in my ribs. The good news is I didn't gain a pound this week, yippee! Sure doesn't look like it though.

Last holiday without Simon

We spent part of Week 36 out in the Olympic mountains with Chris & Sarah. The Hoh rain forest is about a 4 1 /2 hour drive from Seattle and we did a short hike through the Hall of Moss. Oddly enough, we had a beautiful sunny day so it was not quite as wet as we anticipated. The massive trees I'm standing in front of was the norm and overall I'd say the forest is spectacular. The sunny picture of Jason and I is in front of Lake Crescent, what a beautiful area! There is a nice lodge here we hope to stay at some time in the future.

We stayed in a quaint little bed and breakfast outside of Forks, Washington and checked out the beach on Sunday. We had a great hike to the beach through the rain forest (about 2.5 miles roundtrip, mostly flat) and on this day it was rainy and wet. After hiking through the green, the beach was beautiful, foggy and isolated. We managed to reach the sand as the tide was coming in.

Sitting in the car for so long was a bit rough, but seeing all the leaves turn out here and having one last adventure was worth it. We'll definately be back for a good camping trip out in the area.

Week 35 and 6 Years O'Bliss

We're gettting close! Soon we start seeing Dr. Levine every week. Simon's head is down and my belly measures 35 cent., right where I'm supposed to be. Hips are achy, back a little sore, but still able to sleep in general. I've started pre-natal yoga and I think that that, along with my regular exercise has really made the difference.

Sept. 30th we had a wonderful date. We caught a sell-out show of James McMurtry at the Tractor Tavern at 4:00 in the afternoon and then had a late dinner at Matt's in the Market--the best restaurant meal I've had in Seattle with superb service. We even squeezed in a drink with friends at Mona's afterwards. A perfect evening with my perfect mate.

Shower # 3 -- CMS

I was again showered with gifts for little Simon by my co-workers at CMS. The two lovely women pictured are the hostesses, Terry and Janice, and they have spoiled me rotten. We received many adorable little things to keep Simon warm and cozy in the Seattle gray, along with fantastic books and momentos. I'm really looking forward to bringing the little Katz up to meet everyone.

Dana's visit to Seattle

Had a fantastic time reconnecting with my highschool friend Dana who came all the way from Florida to see us. She got an incredible picture of Mt. Ranier from her plane ride home. The other two pictures are of our hike to Talus Rocks and the fern forrest.

We had beautiful weather and got a nice sail in as well courtesy of David Wolfe. Dana also brought a huge suitcase of baby boy clothes and shipped even more handy baby items. This was around week 34.
