SIMON (not Sofie) Makes Himself Known

Seattle, WA (AP) - We were shocked this morning to hear our baby has no ovaries. So much for heart rates, gut feelings and the idea you've had in your head for years.

While I was looking forward to bringing our first woman President into the world, now we really can't wait to meet this little guy!! We'll make sure he's still a good feminist and diehard Brown's fan.

The 2nd shot is his little foot. 3rd is his face, 1st and 4th are profiles. Good looking BOY!

He weighs 15 oz, which is the 95 percentile for this stage. Dr. Levine assures me this does not mean he will be a gi-normous baby (well not ALL of him). More importantly, the ultrasound gave him a perfectly healthy report.

For about a weeek I have felt him moving around. Simon is quite a mover; he squirmed all over the place this morning. For most of the time during the ultra-sound, his feet were at his ears showing off his bits and flirting up the female technician.

Jason's really starting to like the sound of "my son..." We do fully expect Simon to be born with glasses, a British accent and to be packin' like his old man (big nose that is, jeez, perverts).

Cheers!

Am I showing yet? Or do I still just look kind of fat? Up to 140 pounds at 5 months.

3 women at work have actually asked if I were pregnant or maybe "just eating a lot more." Who says that? My favorite comment of the month, "Someone's going to have a bigger gut than me..." Now that is tact.

A New Home

This is the new casa. Room with all the boxes is the Baby Room.
The move was a pain but we're quickly getting comfortable here in the new hood. And yes, I know I have no skill whatsoever in formatting these pictures.

Jason. Strong like tree.

Baby K Hikes Little Mt. Si

We had fantastic weather this Sunday and decided to get out for a good hike. The baby is a natural outdoors-wo/man. We're now a little over 4 1/2 months.

Prego's Night Out

Sat. night we got to see our friend John Z. from Austin, who is working for Bob Schneider, who hit Seattle again on his third tour this way since we got here (Yeah for us). The first picture is the Katz's with Chris & Sarah Banks. They have the pretty tough job of subbing for all of you Austin folks and I must say they do a damn good job.

Baby K definately got in a good jam session. S/he will know how to do the "Tarantula" on Day 1 in the outside world. I thought I did pretty good considering Bob did not come on until 11:15 and I managed to stay on my feet, and shake my ass, until almost the very end. Don't worry, Baby K is getting a good amount of Mozart & Pavoratti as well.

Our First Test

This is our current baby, Scout. Scout got sick this week. She was throwing up, kind of drooling and just not being her talkative self. Just when we decided we'd take her to a 24 hour vet, she seemed to respond to our panicked TLC. I slept next to her in the living room, waking just about every hour to check on her, until she went to sleep with Jason early that morning. When I came home from work at lunch to check on her, she was yapping away (as much as a cat can) and eating/drinking again. Must have eaten some weird bug, we're very relieved she's O.K.

Overall, I think we did alright. Scout says we passed this first test. Wheh!
